GM workers vote 74% in favor of UAW contract

General Motors hourly workers represented by the UAW overwhelming approved contract concessions this week in advance of GM’s probable bankruptcy filing. The GM rank-and-file voted 74 percent in favor of the contract, the UAW announced today.

Chrysler bankruptcy judge to rule Monday on Fiat sale

The U.S. bankruptcy judge overseeing Chrysler LLC’s bankruptcy case said on Friday he would issue an opinion “sometime on Monday” on the automaker’s proposed sale of most assets to a new company run by Italy’s Fiat S.p.A.
